In the system we have in place, the following deletion process takes
place:
* content is deleted by staging web/CF/Spectra server (on internal
network) from staging CODB on staging DB server (on internal network)
using cfa_contentobjectdelete
* index updates take place at staging web/CF/Spectra server via
cfa_contentobjectdelete
* content is deleted by staging web/CF/Spectra server from production
CODB on staging DB server (in protected network zone) using
cfa_contentobjectdelete
There is no way of running a script from the inside to tell the prod
server to update indexes for deleted objects on the prod
web/CF/Spectra server (in full-secure zone), and the client's
security requirements prevent there being such. The whole thing has
to be 100% hands-off automated and happening ONLY at the prod server.
Anyone have any ideas how we might best achieve this? I have a few
thoughts, but I am VERY open to fresh ideas.
Steve
