This is better handled in 1.51 - and appears to work in Spectra training.
For 1.5 i believe you need to set the webtop security for each
application... it doesn't seem possible to set security for all applications
at once and so the web top application itself lets users have unauthorised
access unless you secure it separately. It is mind numbingly slow to
implement and wholly unscriptable. You might also need to switch off
security cacheing in the CFAdmin to see your results - version 5.0 of CF has
a handy flush cache option.
For the most part it is easier and faster to hijack the code you want and
build a seperate administration interface for your clients. My team has
tried in vain to put together a decent methodology for developing admin
interfaces in the webtop and we gave up prior to the release of 1.51. As i
mentioned earlier 1.51 does appear to work in the simple examples we use in
the Spectra Training courses.
