I'd recomend keeping one machine totally free for all admin (webtop is very
intensive), and have all the machines in the cluster point to a network raid
or some such which has all the physical media on it. That way no worries for
file replication (you can even keep the clustered codebase on this network
drive to avoid issues of synching code out to the cluster). The only other
option is to do some sort of mirroring out to the cluster, which is not as
nice.

Cheers,
Aaron.

Subject: Media assets in a clustered environment

We are setting up a clustered spectra environment that we will be using
primarily for article publication. As part of this the users creating the
articles should be able to upload images and insert them into articles via
ewebeditpro from the mediastore. Does anyone have any suggestions for
keeping the mediastore synchronized between the servers? In general how are
people keeping the clustered environments in sync? I'm assuming that you
should only have one box that has the webtop on it - or should the webtop
not even be on a production machine? Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks
