First, the Javascript alerts that you are experiencing are resolved by
visiting http://spectrasource.macromedia.com/ and downloading the 'All HTML
Editor Issues' zip file.
Second, the rewrite of the image path is due to settings in the config.xml
file that the editor is using (/allaire/spectra/ewebeditpro/config.xml).
Near the bottom there is a <mediafiles> node with children. It's safest to
create a new configXX.xml file and specify it in your call to cfa_htmleditor
in the config attribute so you can refer back to the original config.xml as
needed. Take a look through the Ektron dev docs and modify the mediafiles
portion of the config.xml file as appropriate. I believe the preview pane
requires an absolute path to the image file for display.

The update to the Ektron editor available at spectrasource may also correct
the dissappearance of the control in ie 6.
