Craig,
I did have the same experience last few months. It happens because of the netscape
ldap itself. Try to install NS LDAP 4.13 rather than NS LDAP 4.12.
Make sure you follow all the Advance Security settings procedure, do a few
authentication test if possible and then install Spectra.
