Meantime I took a closer look and found out, that when I enter an
edithandler for the first time and directly go to the datadump, I see my
data with multilingual properties.
But when I edit this object I get an error. Looking at the datadump
again, NOW my former multilingual props are 'monolingual'!!!

The only chance seems to be to edit ALL the types directly after the
upgrade ( before ANYONE tries to edit an object) and then manually
RE-mark all necessary properties as multilingual. This seems to work.
But it's an AWFUL lot of work.... we have got about 200 -300 Types (with
sometimes up to 20 props) in all our different databases, that means at
least a week.....

Has anyone got a workaround for that or a hotfix?

We had similar experiences with all the items we added to the user
profiles
(yes we read up on the new structures, but the DATA isnt there!

We attempted upgrading 1.5 to 1.5.1 but after several problems we
aborted.
We didnt even check the multilingual aspects yet. We are waiting on a
fix
to the too few site nodes problems at the moment.

Subject: multilingual properties get lost in upgrade 1.0.1 to 1.5.1

  Hi everyone.

After a lot of exporting, importing, upgrading, renaming, errors and
so
on, I managed it to upgrade a spectra 1.0.1 database to spectra 1.5.1
  database ( DB2).

I can view my objects in the webtop, but wehn I try to edit them I get

an error. So I looked at the datadump and found that all my
multilingual
properties were marked as NOT multilingual.

Then I looked in the KB and found an article about export form an
1.0.1-DB and that multilingual props would get lost. But I had this
  hotfix already installed.

After that I took a closer look at the exported wddx-packages(1.0.1),
  and THEY are definitely mutlilingual.

So is there a bug in the upgrade-routine?? - please not!!!!

Does anyone of you work with spectra 1.5.1 and multilingual props? Any

  experiences?

  please help.... :-(

  nicole
