We are having MAJOR problems with our CF5, Spectra 1.5.1, Solaris 8 box. Specifically we had a problem where on stopping the CF server the services would not restart and complained bitterly about the registry.
We struggled with that for a while and finally were reduced to reinstalling CF and Spectra. Now when we start up Spectra the Siteminder processes run for a short while (seconds) and then errors out complaining that the can not find the encryption key file. In the thread http://forums.allaire.com/spectra/messageview.cfm?catid=85&threadid=1 99287&highlight_key=y&keyword1=encryption&keyword2=key CLAWSON mentions two registry keys: 1. hkey_local_machine\software\netegrity\siteminder\currentversion\location 2. hkey_local_machine\software\netegrity\siteminder\currentversion\MasterKey File I have several questions: I can not find references to these registry keys anywhere one our box. cf.registry has nothing and when you start up the GUI regeditor in the siteminder directory [CFAS install dir]/siteminder/bin/regedit we see no references to it either. Now the thread mentioned above is talking about 4.5 but we were wondering if these keys should exist for CF50 installations as well?? Also if they should, where? do we add them with the gui thing or do we edit cf.registry (which scares the heck out of me). Fair warning I am cross posting this to the CF conference, Spectra-Talk and maybe more. Thanks in advance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your ad could be here.
