I am in the midst of configuring a test server for my existing 1.5
app, and am experiencing major problems on the install. My configuration
consists of the following:
OS: NT 4.0 Server SP 6a
App: Cold Fusion 5 (production release and eval
copy) with all patches and advanced security
enabled
Spectra: Spectra 1.5.1 Web eval and copy 1.5
production release.
My problem arises during the Spectra install. When I activate the
installer, everything seems fine until it gets past unpacking the files. At
that point, the installer suddenly hangs, leaving me no indication of its
operation. When I look in the task manager, the process seems to still be
there, yet nothing is happening on the screen. I have tried this on two
different machines the second being a Compaq DL 360 server with 256 mb of
memory. The only lead that I have is that this is a problem with advanced
security, but I am not even getting to the point where Spectra install tests
that. The other oddity is the second that I uninstall CF 5, the installer
will pick up where it left off and continue to install. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
