Ah okay, well I've no data on performance comparisons offhand,
although I'm vaguely aware that everybody generally reports that
native drivers are the better performers (at least for windows
based systems). I run the merant drivers for CF on linux and
have absolutely no problem, but solaris I don't have much info
on I'm afraid.
