I don't think that it will be much of a hornet's nest; I'm quite looking
forward to it.

Spectra should run on Neo if AS is replaced with a different solution-
there is already a replacement on the market that is supposed to scale
nicely, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Neo CFCs should also be a nice area of Spectra application tuning.  I've
also heard rumours that third parties are coming out with some Neo
native Spectra API replacements like Workflow.  

As for other APIs, like publishing, it should work on top of Neo.  It is
in desperate need of an overhaul so it is still an open issue if that
will ever happen.

We could continue to use the Spectra Open Source site and codebase for
higher-order application framework functionality on top of Neo.  The
infrastructure and developers are there, it would be a shame if
Macromedia ignored that.  As for pricing, who knows what the sales and
marketing folks will want to do.  I guess it is entirely contextual on
how it effects Macromedia's bottom line and the industry story its
crafting.
