Just to clarify:  If Macromedia is to support Spectra through 2003, I 
assume that means they'll continue to sell it and provide technical help.  
After 2003, that goes away I'm sure.  But would the Spectra community 
source site and Macromedia's oversight of the code changes continue?

Err - we haven't said we are going to do that. I would not assume the
product is going to fall into open source. I'm not saying it never will,
but as far as I know, this isn't planned and we have not said we would
do that.

As for the rest of your email - why not just use the DevEx?
