Hey Johan,

    In our current application we had the exact same problem using Oracle
8.16.
Our fix for it was the use the Merant Oracle 8 drive that comes with
Coldfusion.
The only catch to this fix is that you cannot use this driver for any of the
security
or authentication datasources. Once we started using the Merant drive
this problem no longer occurred.
