On August 22nd, 2002, Microsoft released a patch for Internet Explorer that prevents Internet Explorer from loading the Ektron eWebEditPro editor client properly. The eWebEditPro editor is integrated into Ektron eWebEditPro+XML, Ektron eMPower, Ektron CMS100, and Ektron CMS200, so users of these products are affected as well. Client systems with this Microsoft patch applied will experience an eWebEditPro window that freezes in a half-loaded state when a page with the editor embedded in it is viewed. The Internet Explorer browser may crash when the editor is manipulated through the user interface or by a script. Ektron eWebEditPro continues to be fully functional in the Netscape browser. For customers with an installed base of users who have already begun installing the Internet Explorer patch, Ektron has provided patches for the eWebEditPro product. These eWebEditPro patches will restore functionality in Internet Explorer with the Microsoft Q323759 patch applied.
