>From what I see, there is not reason at all why 1.5.2 will not run on MX Pro
edition. There is nothing in Pro which is not in Ent (which effects
Spectra anyway!).

Hi Evan,

Yes, I did get more info (directly from Tim Buntel @ Macromedia in fact)
about
this issue.

Here's what I found out...

Spectra 1.5.2 will be supported on CF5 Enterprise or CFMX Enterprise ONLY.
It
may actually run on the Pro licenses of MX, but Macromedia will not support
this. Basically, if you can get it to run, best of luck, but no guarentees.

In our case, it turns out we were owed several copies of CF5 Ent and CFMX
Ent
due to our subscription license. So I'm planning on doing my upgrades and
starting to test as soon as we get all the appropriate licenses.

As I understand it, you will have to go through the following steps to get
Spectra 1.5.2 running...

1. Have Spectra 1.5.1 running on a CF 4.5.1 Ent machine
(or CF 5 Ent...in which case, skip step 2 below)
2. Upgrade CF to version 5 Ent.
3. Upgrade Spectra to version 1.5.2
4. Upgrade CF to version MX Ent.

Kind of kludgy, but workable I guess... thank God I only have 3 machines to
upgrade.

hope that helps you.

-Michael
