Hmm....  I suppose that I could dump the output scope and see if that is a 
candidate. Not sure why it would be intermittent though, and happen on 
create or edit. I'd guess that during create the output scope wouldn't be 
particularly large.

I had that once, I thought it was because the output scope grew too
large. (64K rings a bell? Just a guess...)
