Mobile Studios ö Auftaktsveranstaltung in Berlin

Mobile Studios sind ein LŠnder vernetzender Modellversuch eines
mobilen und autarken Produktionslabors fŸr junge KŸnstler, Musiker,
Performer und Kulturvermittler.



In enger Zusammenarbeit mit den beteiligten Goethe-Instituten und den
Partnerinstitutionen reisen drei Studios von Danzig nach Bratislava,
Budapest, Belgrad und Sofia von April bis Mai 2006. KŸnstler und
Kulturschaffende werden vor Ort eingeladen, diese zu bespielen.



Die urbanen Interventionen im Live- und Talk-Studio werden im
Editorial-Studio in unterschiedlichen Formate ausgesendet. Die Reise
der Mobilen Studios sowie der Austausch und das Netzwerk der
kulturellen Akteure hinterlassen im digitalen Raum ihre Spuren, die
in Form einer virtuellen Sammlung (Mobile Studios Virtual Collection)
wŠhrend und nach der Reise nachvollziehbar sind.

Der šffentlichen Auftaktveranstaltung mit folgt ein zweitŠtiger
interner Workshop.



The conference will be in English, the referents will be:



Milena Dragicevic-Sesic, former President of University of Arts,
Belgrade, now Head of UNESCO Chair in Interculturalism, Art
Management and Mediation, professor of Cultural  Policy & Cultural
Management, Cultural studies, Media studies. ELIA Board Member.
President of the Cultural Policy Research Award ,

Katelijn Verstraete is IETM's Communication, Information and Training
Officer and also responsible for Asia projects within IETM, the
International network for contemporary performing arts. She is also
coordinating On The Move, a networked project with a webportal
www.on-the-move.org <http://www.on-the-move.org>  which provides
links and information on mobility for arts professionals in the
performing arts in Europe. She co-founded, and co-managed from 1999
till 2003, an independent arts space in Shanghai called BizArt, After
her return to Europe. She is currently also engaged in freelance
cultural consultancy projects related to China.

Geert Lovink (1959, Amsterdam), media theorist, net critic and
activist,  2004 he was appointed research professor at the Hogeschool
van Amsterdam (interactive media) and associate professor (new media)
at the University of Amsterdam. His position was renamed as the
Institute of Network Cultures (www.networkcultures.org). In 2005 his
instute organized four international new media conferences. In
2005-2006 he is a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg, where he is
finishing the third volume of an ongoing research on Internet culture.
