Die Galerie ZERO zeigt neuste Arbeiten der Designerin Aleksandra Nina
Knezevic.
Aleksandra Nina Knezevic is graduated graphic designer from Sarajevo, Bosnia
and Herzegovina, and she professionally deals with that sphere of art for
years. At this moment, she has her own little studio, and also works as
freelance designer. During one period she was also the art director of
Studio Marketing J. Walter Thompson agency (Slovenia). Few days ago, she was
elected as president of ULUPUBIH (Association of applied artist and
designers of Bosnia and Herzegovina). For the first time in the history of
this association, this position was given to a woman.
Her latest work are postcards called "Nema odmora dok traje obnova" (No
sleep till renewal is on), and it is a part of project, that is run by Ask
Sarajevo Foundation. Those are six different illustrated postcards, that in
simple, sympathetic, caricatural and a bit naive way, show and reflect the
enthusiasm of young people that are ready to do something. In this case, it
is the reconstruction of Youth House, which certainly belongs to them. Also,
music festival Revival 2006, should take place in those premises in
September 2006, but the whole event depends on successful reconstruction of
the Youth House. At the same time, these postcards are the announcement for
project called Art Kvart (Art Quarter), and will take place on June 17th in
city quarter where Art Café and Soba Club-Café are located, near
Architectonic Faculty in Sarajevo. Together with promotion of postcards, the
posters with the same content will be presented.
