In 2007, for the 25th anniversary of "V2" (Institute dedicated to
instable medias based in Rotterdam, Holland), in partnership with the
French Institut in Holland – Descartes House of Amsterdam and the French
Alliance of Rotterdam, two French artists offer 100 badges of the model
"RFID 0.1" for the event "unDEAF" during the festival "DEAF". These
badges will be offered in the centers of these two towns from the 10th
to the 13th of April. A limited edition of another model numbered 'RFID
1.0" will also be sold this year on the website http://remixarts.com .
Conceptual artist Franck Ancel collaborates with designer Alex Singer to
launch a collection focused on digital culture. These badges proclaim a
future "SPIME" style (contraction of the terms "Space + Time" invented
by the writer Bruce Sterling). The digital atmosphere in which we live
is an invisible labyrinth of mobile technologies. These two Parisian
creators lift the veil of a certain reality through the port of a
graphic composition. Their esthetic is an interaction between the RFID
forms which invade our daily life and the colors of painter Peter Halley
who uses chips and other electronic cartographies as creation sources.

Cette année 2007 des 25 ans de V2 (un Institut dédié aux médias
instables à Rotterdam en Hollande) pour l'événement « unDEAF », dans le
cadre de son festival « DEAF » ; en partenariat avec l'Institut français
des Pays-Bas – Maison Descartes à Amsterdam et l'Alliance française de
Rotterdam, deux artistes français offrent 100 badges du modéle « RFID
0.1 », disponible gratuitement pendant cette manifestation, du 10 au 13

édition en série limitée d'un autre modéle numéroté « RFID 1.0 » sera

Le concepteur Franck Ancel en collaboration avec le graphiste Alex
Singer lancent ainsi une collection tournée vers la culture numérique.
Car ces badges proclament un style « SPIME » (néologisme de Space+Time
inventé par l'écrivain Bruce Sterling) en devenir... A l'heure d'une
atmosphère digitale, nous vivons dans un labyrinthe invisible de
technologies mobiles. Ces deux créateurs parisiens lévent ainsi un voile
sur une réalité à travers le port d'une composition graphique. Aussi,
l'esthétique qu'ils ont retenu ensemble est une interaction entre les
formes des RIFD qui envahissent actuellement notre quotidien et les
couleurs du peintre Peter Halley qui utilisait déjà les puces et autres
cartographies électroniques comme source de création.
