In response to hard-hitting cuts in public arts funding in the UK two petitions to Downing Street are currenly available for those who wish to support the arts in this country.
The first one is more generic and is now the 16th most popular petition out of the 7448 currently listed - you can sign at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/lotteryolympics/ The second one is more focused on the impact to cuts in arts subsidy, and therefore also very important to arts professionals/potential artists/academics: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/arts-subsidy/ best wishes Gabriella Giannachi -- Prof. Gabriella Giannachi Associate Professor in Performance and New Media Co-Director Centre for Intermedia Co-Director ISN Department of Drama School of Performance Arts Thornlea, New North Road Exeter EX4 4LA Tel : (01392) 264580 Fax : (01392) 264594 http://www.spa.ex.ac.uk/drama/staff/staff_giannachi.html ______________________________________________ SPECTRE list for media culture in Deep Europe Info, archive and help: http://coredump.buug.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/spectre
