Kurt Hentschlager is performing FEED @ Ars Electronica Festival, Linz -
September 6-8, a return to his hometown Linz!
"Feed is, in todays panorama, the artistic project that can represent a
"reference model" and a "change in direction" of a whole scene, the
multimedia audio-visual art scene. Feed, an audiovisual performance on
sensorial, spatialized,electronic experimentation produced by austrian
artist Kurt Hentschlager (formerly one of the two souls of Granular
Synthesis) is, at this time, a project that is unique in its genre, outside
of the aesthetic and technical languages currently spoken in the
contemporary world of performances and multimedia installations. There's
really nothing to discuss: opinions are in total accordance among audience
and critics."

New York-based Austrian artist KURT HENTSCHLAGER creates audiovisual
compositions in which audio and video actuate one another. The immersive
nature of his work reflects on the metaphor of the sublime. Hentschläger is
a recipient of numerous prizes and large-scale commissions. He has
represented Austria at the 2001 Venice Biennial and has shown his work
internationally for two decades. Selected presentations include the
Milllenium Museum, Beijing, Staedelijk Museum Amsterdam, In the Anchorage -
Creative Time, Inc., New York, MAC - Musee d`Art Contemporain Montreal,
MAK - Museum of Applied Arts Vienna, National Museum for Contemporary Art
Seoul, Ars Electronica Festival Linz, ICC Inter-Communication-Center Tokyo,
Fondation Beyeler Basel, Palacio de Bella Artes, Mexico City. His recent
solo performance "FEED" premiered at the 2005 Venice Theatre Biennial and is
currently touring and the procedural installation "KARMA / cell" was
commissioned in 2006 by Le Fresnois, Studio National des Arts Contemporains,
France.

DIGICULT is a cultural project involved in digital culture and electronic
arts. DigiCult project is directed by Marco Mancuso and based on the active
participation of 40 professional people about, who represent the first wide
Italian network of journalists, curators, artists and critics in the field
of electronic culture. And on a multitude of updated strategies around new
media communication and networking activities. DigiCult is a web portal but
is also the editor of the monthly magazine DigiMag, discussing with a critic
and journalistic approach, about net art, hacktivism, video art,
electronica, audio video, interaction design, artificial intelligence, new
media, software art, performing art. DigiCult produce an electronic music
and audiovisual podcast and the newsletter international service DigiNews.
DigiCult is involved in side-activities like media partnerships and
journalistic/critic reports, consultancy and curatorial activities and
artists international promotion.
