http://emergingpractices.buffalo.edu/ APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 10, 2008 The Emerging Practices (EP) MFA program at the University at Buffalo is committed to exploring interdisciplinary spaces between emerging technologies (such as biosciences, robotics and informatics) and the arts. EP, a joint graduate concentration between the departments of Media Study and Visual Studies, implements a broad strategy of techno-cultural investigation with these principles: * Emerging Practices resist pre-packaged media, and seek to create their own. * Emerging Practices are interdisciplinary in concept, execution, and critique. * Emerging Practices engage the latest technologies, scientific processes and best practices available and attempt to give them new agency. * Emerging Practices are Tactical.
