Dear Friends and Colleagues, What do you do when, for the first time in (your) history, you can't make it to Linz? Easy: you create a new collective project that is going to be premiered at Ars Electronica 2020!
It is called 'The Traveling Plant', starting now, unfolding slowly over several years. Have a look and Stay Tuned, more to come soon! All the Best Annick Bureaud *The Traveling Plant* *The Veridical Travel Around The World of A True Imaginary Plant* *Le véridique voyage autour du monde d'une plante imaginaire* https://ars.electronica.art/keplersgardens/traveling-plant/ https://thetravelingplant.net/ *Where do you start when you are a plant that wants to travel the world? What kind of plant are you actually? Real, fictitious, imaginary, artificial? Which carriers are you going to take? Which routes are you going to follow? How do you seek recommendations? Is it safe?* Plants travel. By themselves with the wind and clouds. Helped by other living creatures such as birds or humans. Sometimes the humans carry them involuntarily under the sole of their shoes or hidden in their luggage, sometimes voluntarily. *The Veridical Travel Around The World of A True Imaginary Plant *is the umbrella title for a series of new artworks and events that will be created and take place in different times and locations around the world, unfolding over several years, under the direction of a network of participating organisations and curators. The Traveling Plant project traces the voyage of a plant around the world, of whom and what it encounters. *The Traveling Plant Team* The Traveling Plant has been seeded and germinated by Annick Bureaud, Leonardo/Olats; Tatiana Kourochkina, Quo Artis; Marta de Menezes, Cultivamos Cultura/Artist, Claudia Schnugg, Independent Curator/Researcher; Robertina Šebjanič, Sektor Institute/Artist.
