Call for Participation

** Desktop Augmented Reality Demo & Workshop (Free) **

** Wednesday 15th September 5:00 pm – 6:30pm (Online) **

Dear All,

We would like to invite you to a demonstration and workshop on an exciting
piece of new technology ‘Desktop Augmented Reality (AR)’ by Perception Holo-SDK.

Desktop AR enables viewers to enjoy two-dimensional computer visuals in
three-dimensions and so offers a more immersive experience of our computer’s
digital environment. This offers an exciting opportunity for both digital and
physical exhibitions and museums such as the Imperial War Museums and the
Science Museum
Group<https://www.museumsassociation.org/museums-journal/people/2021/07/qa-holographic-technology-can-be-part-of-preserving-human-history/>
 are set to develop new holographic experiences with Perception Holo-SDK.

This workshop aims to both evaluate and showcase the technology to the wider
GLAM sector and we want to consider the other future opportunities for this
emerging technology. Specifically, participants will be given the opportunity
to experience the technology with an example holographic exhibition and asked
to reflect on their experiences in relation to different themes including (but
not limited to):

  *   Audiences
  *   Accessibility
  *   Education
  *   Visitor Experience

This workshop is aimed at GLAM practitioners and workers, but we also welcome
researchers and artists who may also be interested in learning more about this
technology. You do not need to have any prior experience of AR/VR in order to
participate.

Please see Eventbrite for further details and on how to register. Or please
email any questions to perceptioncode.eve...@gmail.com
