The Computer Arts Archive Community Interest Company (CIC) has been building a significant collection of computer art since 2021, focusing on "undertold" narratives in the history of computer and digital art. From our base in Leicester, UK, we have been producing exhibitions and events, such as the recent Sue Gollifer show at Phoenix, Leicester. We have had some funding (HLF and Paul Mellon), but much of our work is self-supported. We're now exploring alternative fundraising routes - starting with our first crowdfunding campaign on Space Hive. We're looking for individual support for our latest "Leicester Computer Artists" exhibition and catalogue. This builds on a previous project in which we documented the work of eight significant artists with a connection to Leicester. The project is being noticed, and the Leicester City Mayor has agreed to match any contributions made, up to £1000. Please consider supporting the project, individually or through your business. Also, please spread the word. We only have two weeks to run the campaign! If it works, we hope that this will become a model for funding some of our future work, in Leicester and beyond. See a link to the crowdfunder, plus other recent projects here: https://www.computer-arts-archive.com <https://www.computer-arts-archive.com/> See the previous exhibition of Leicester digital artists here on the Computer Arts Society website: https://computer-arts-society.com/exhibitions/leicester-pioneers.html Please spread the word. I will be announcing the artists featured in the new exhibition soon. Regards, Sean P.S. If you want to visit our studio at Leicester's LCB Depot anytime, please let me know. -- Dr Sean Clark FBCS Artist, Interact Digital Arts Ltd Curator, Computer Arts Archive CIC Visiting Research Fellow, De Montfort University International Professor, Guangdong University of Technology Visiting Professor, Guangdong University of Science and Technology Email: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> Mobile: +44 (0)7595 990817 www.interactdigitalarts.uk <http://www.interactdigitalarts.uk/>
