Hi Markus
not sure what mib attributes you are referring to but one possible way to
achieve what you have described would be to use SpectroWatch and event
configuration.

Something like the following might work:

Create a watch that calculates the difference between the running and startup
timestamp attributes, ie. "running-config-time - startup-config-time" (might
need to be the other way round here ???)
Assign this watch a threshold such that when this watch evaluates as a negative
value event 0xffffffff is created.
The threshold should be reset when the watch evaluates as positive again, When
this happens create event 0xfffffffe

Use the Event Config Editor to define events 0xffffffff and 0xfffffffe as
follows
0xffffffff creates an alarm if event 0xfffffffe does not occur within 60 mins
of 0xffffffff
0xfffffffe will be just an event. It could also be used to clear the 0xffffffff
alarm if you wished.

Regards, John

Subject: [spectrum] Monitoring Running vs. StartupConfig

        Hi community,

does anybody has a solution for monitoring if the running-config has
been forgotten to be written to the startup-config. As I know there are
timestamps in the mib for the last change of startup and running-config. So if
the timestamp of the startup-config is higher than the timestamp of the
running-config and this situation lasts for example more than one hour an alarm
should be generated. Any ideas?

        Regards
        Markus Gatty
