I haven't got yet a solution about how to create a new model class (the OneClick Customization says it is possible; I'll quote page 51: "If you have created a new model type or model class, you can use xml elements described in this chapter to configure the associated model appearance ...."
I have been searching all other docs for "model class" but I couldn't
find anything to help me create a class (.. Helpful documentation
sometimes ...)
OK, now I give up for a while (until I can figure / helped to figure how
to create a class) and I'm trying to use an existing class and to change
its appearance. My purpose is to have some new model images
(unfortunately Spectrum is kinda poor ...) to use with some equipments,
like Video-Conferrencing devices, wireless bridges and others ...
A logical step to take first was to try to change one class appearance
with another.
I tried to change the appearance of model class 2 (switches) to look
like a Wireless Device.
I have created "custom-app-config.xml" in
<SPECROOT>/custom/console/config with the following content:
<app-config>
<contents-registry>
<icon-reg-id>oneclick-wireless-iconbase-config</icon-reg-id>
<model-class>2</model-class>
</contents-registry>
</app-config>
All that happened was that the switch image was replaced with an "empty"
one - all I can see it's a green block without any image on it (have a
look at attached image)
By the way - is www.dachsug.ch down? I tried for 2 days to reach it and
I can't.
Thanks for help,
Regards,
Eugen NAIMAN
