Steve,

If you mean event codes of "something else" on one SS server, that will
not happen because Spectrum handles event codes assignment by its
internal mechanism. Without DevID all your event will start with 0xffff.
In case you have your own DevID, than the "ffff" is replaced by that
DevID. Capacity of the customized events stack is 0xffff0001-0xffffFFFF.
So, you would have to create 65535 events to reach that limit.

But, there is a case you can create duplicate event codes. If you use
two SS servers for your development without synchronized SSdb catalog.
It is highly probable that both SS servers will create custom codes with
the same numbers becase both use the same space "0xffffxxxx". If this
happens you have to use either single SS for you development (see docs)
or synchronize SSdb catalogs before development of new events.

HTH,

Ales

Subject: [spectrum] eventcode tracking

Hi -

How do you keep track of the eventcodes? It seems that if you are
creating custom events, you might end up using an eventcode that belongs
to something else. What if there are eventcode duplicates?
