Does anyone know how to modify the clear script to only send out a email
when alarms are cleared by spectrum but not when a user clears alarms??

Thanks.

RE: [spectrum] Maintenance mode

Hi,

What I can say to help you is that you can put any kind of "maintenable"
object in maintenace mode via a CLI command line. You have to update two
attributes of the object:
- isManaged (0x1295d) ==> FALSE
- isEventCreationEnabled (0x129f8) ==> FALSE
With these two attributes set to FALSE, the object will be in maintenance
mode.

I think what you want to do is achievable with a CLI script at least,
checking for relations/associations between object and then putting them
in maintenance mode.

Can you Command line a Container of Devices (Routers, NSM servers, etc)
and set in and out of maintenance mode? In NSM we could issue a unmanage
command to a specified BusinessView and unmanage all devices within the
View? Thanks Chad

Betreff: [spectrum] Maintenance mode

Hi everyone,

I have Spectrum 8.1 installed at my customer and one question for you.
It's regarding maintenance mode. The situation is like this... I have one
switch with twenty other network devices connected to it. There is some
work in progress on the location and switch has to be shut down. Can I put
it in maintenance mode and expect those 20 switches won't generate alarms
when the first one is off? Or is there some other way to disable alarms?

Regards,
