You may also want to look at the Insight Manager Agent. A lot has changed since HP purchased Compaq and from a NMS perspective is the porting of Insight Manager to the HP server products, including HP-UX. Insight Manager is supported by Spectrum quite well.

Never seen issues with the installation on a any platform Recommended to use port 1691, so you can combine both HW agent based and systemedge agent events. I recommend to add the traps from systemedge manually, you can then build advanced possibilities in the eventdisp. For example add more granularity by setting the Spectrum severity from the systemedge description varbind. You can go very deep in this customizations when combine spetcrum and systemedge. Another benefit for systemedge, that is provide more performance variables then the native HP-UX, net-snmp agents. ( interesting for Spectrum and CA eHealth ) Regards, Erwin _____ From: Sulzer Jusman [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: zondag 8 maart 2009 8:50 To: spectrum Subject: [spectrum] Checkback: Agent for HP-UX Dear Christian and List, I have been in-and-out of this list. When looked at the list's archives, somehow I found Christian Schneider's message about HP-UX Agent. Hi Christian.., I just wondering, have you found what you looking for? A few years ago I am in contact with SNMP.COM, they have a lot of SNMP Agents, including for HP-UX. Have you tried them, too.? I never had a chance to try. Never had HP-UX machine..
