Nothing at all, or is there a java error message about a null pointer or something like that? I've seen this, and I resolved it in a strange way: I had this problem on Ubuntu Linux with Gnome environment. I installed KDE (on the same Ubuntu version), and under KDE I didn't have the problem. I didn't try to understand further....
