You will need to update the time zone data associated with the JRE's on the
Spectrum servers (SpectroSERVER and OC). To do this, do a search for all
java.exe files in the "win32app" folder and run the tzupdate jar file with each
uncompressed copy (there are some copies of java in zip files, don't worry
about these). Once this is done, restart the Spectrum services and processes.
You should also be running JRE 1.6.0 update 2 on each OneClick user machine as
well, or you can run the tzupdate file against these clients if you require an
earlier version. If you want to ensure clients only use Update 2 or above, you
can modify the oneclick.jnlp file to check the java version being used is by
configuring the j2se version as '1.6.0_02+'. I currently use JRE 1.6.0 Update 7
with no issues and I haven't experienced any problems on any of the Spectrum
servers I support when performing the above.

The tzupdater can be obtained from the Java/Sun website. If you run Report
Manager, you may also require a patch for BOXI otherwise reports scheduled
around DST changeovers may not run correctly - this will be need to requested
from CA Support.

Subject: [spectrum] Daylight saving - wrong time in SPECTRUM

Hello,

I have noticed today that SPECTRUM time is 1 hour behind Windows Time. I'm
living in Tasmania and here the daylight saving hasn't ended yet (we still have
1 more week), system time is fine but Spectrum looks like it changed the hour.
I've been searching the docs but I couldn't find anything on daylight saving.
I have restarted Spectro Server and OneClick but noting happened; I thought
Spectrum uses system time (not its own) - is anyone aware if there is a
solution about this? Can Spectrum time be changed?

Platform Windows 2003, Spectrum version 8.1

Thanks,

Regards,
Eugen NAIMAN
