Hello Group;

 

We are running SPECTRUM 8.1.0.15.1 and are having an unacceptable amount
of OnLineBackup failures. The failures occur about once a week. Two
alarms are received 'FAILURE DUE TO SPECTRUM OR THE DATABASE BEING
LOCKED' with Symptom 'SPECTRUM and/or the database has become locked.'
and  'FAILURE DURING ONLINE BACKUP CLEANUP PHASE' with Symptom 'The
Online database backup is failing while attempting to delete the
temporary directory.' 

 

We are able to perform a 'Manual' backup after these failures are noted
and have found that by performing a cold boot (after a manual backup) of
the server hardware will give us a couple more days of successful
backups.

 

We have validated all 'Actions' and have engaged CA support for a
solution but nothing has yet gained any traction.

 

Any help is appreciated...
