I've been running 13 on 9.0 sp1 in my environment as well and have not seen
any issues.  There are also people running 11 without issues.  I'm sure you
have 'Newer versions allowed' enabled under JNLP configuration on the
Administration web console page.  In any event we have not seen any issues
with higher versions of java.
