Stephen, AttributeID.MODEL_CLASS is an integer value rather than the string you have in there.  You might want to use AttributeID.MTYPE_NAME or AttributeID.MTYPE_HANDLE instead I use those to be a little more granular when choosing models to display a menu for, we have a ton of custom menus.
