Hello list, Spectrum version is 8.1.0.10.1 Running on CentOS (RedHat)
Our "Discover Connections" function stopped working for physical layer links only (Both automatic upon model creation, or manually using Reconfiguration - Discover Connections) - such as between two switches, or a host device and a switch. It worked OK during the original installation and discovery, and for some time after that. Unfortunately I can't pin down when or what change was made to cause it to not work. I have been able to manually link the ports as needed to create a pipe, but I'd like it to discover links automatically as it once did. If both end ports have an IP address associated with them, the Discover Connections function continues to work OK. Also it still discovers WAN links OK. My current settings under AutoDiscovery Control - Modeling and Protocol Options are: Yes to all, EXCEPT: Create Lans (No) and IP Route Tables (No). I have also tried setting those 2 to Yes, but did not help. I seems as though it is not reading or correlating the mac address tables, and/or using CDP in the case of the Cisco devices. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time. Best regards, C.
