Jonathan As part of our migration planning from 8.1 to 9.x with CA Professional Services, we determined there is no migration path for the SRM databases. We will migrate our SS DB's and therefore the event history becomes part of that. When you install your new 9.x SRM, it will have to build the SRM DB from scratch. That handles any format changes in the DB tables. While that might take a long period of time to complete, you will have your SRM DB with all the history you have in your event history on the SS.
That fit our environment as we plan to keep our event history and SRM data history equal. I have run into a problem with migrating the Report Manager data over to the Web Servers. CA is suggesting I install BOXI R1 on the new 9.0 servers migrate the data to to BOXI R1 and then run the uninstall. After this, run the BOXI R2 installation using the silent install script with the -u. This sounds very tedious and thought there might be a better and quicker way to do this. Has anyone been successful in migrating the SRM data over from Spectrum 8.1 servers running BOXI R1 to a new server running BOXI R2? --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected] ----------------------------------------- The information in this message may be proprietary and/or confidential, and protected from disclosure.
