I did Spectrum consulting for years for CA and for my previous employer. I
can advise you on who the good CA consulting partners are (unless you want
to pay between 200-300 hr for CA staff) and how to screen the good from
the bad.

Subject
[spectrum] Finding and evaluating Spectrum consultants

Hello list-

Being new to Spectrum, ve always appreciated the adviceve received
from this list. I'm the only one working on our Spectrum implementation
right now, and my experience is limited. My manager would feel better if
we had reliable access to someone with good Spectrum experience, at least
until our implementation is complete. re looking to retain someone
part-time, remotely that I could bounce questions and ideas off of on an
as-needed basis. There probably wouldn't be much hands-on work, but rather
it would be answering questions from me, mostly around best practices or
Spectrum details. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with using
a contractor in this manner? I've only ever had contractors on-site for
specific tasks before, but this would be more like retaining an attorney.

With regard to finding someone, how does one evaluate the quality of
someone's Spectrum experience? What are good interview questions? I didn't
see anything about evaluating candidates in the archives. If I get some
good questions, I'll post them to the Wiki.

If you know someone you could recommend (person or company), please email
me off-list ([email protected]).

I hope that I haven't overstepped my bounds by asking more of a personnel
question than a technical one. I truly value all the excellent information
I've received from the community, and do not wish to offend anyone.

Regards,
Jim
