When I spoke to support, we are on 8.1H15, a year or more ago about this they had said that they will not show up in oneClick's attribute view but when using them with the xml files they should work. Not sure if that has changed with a new patch or 9.0/9.1 but using them with the xml was sufficient for us and we never re-visited it.
