I have a global collection called "Windows_SysEDGE". Defined as: systemType Equal to "nt50Intel" systemType Equal to "nt51Intel" etc
Another global collection "Solaris_SysEDGE". Defined as: systemType Equal to "solarisSparc" etc If a threshold is breached (after 6 minutes - to allow for 2 failed polls) SANM sends an email to the defined email group ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>). That works. If a sysedge agent dies, the windows host removes itself from the global collection. The Spectrum alarm console states "management agent lost". No email is sent out though. I believe this has something to do with the systemType attribute being a flag of type "External" "Indicates the attribute value is maintained outside of the SpectroSERVER and that update of the value is done either at a polling interval or upon user request" CA guide 0659, page 35. How do you get emails sent to each Server team when agents die? (Spectrum 9.1 if it matters) Thanks Craig --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected]
