Hi list!!
For some weeks I'm on a project for the department that uses NAGIOS to make a query to SPECTRUM about the state of a device when they have any alert. >From this forum I know now that the most appropriate way of doing that is with the CLI. I´m still deciding if NAGIOS will connect to SPECTRUM (SSH) and from there, using a script to run the CLI, or install the CLI in NAGIOS and run it to connect to SPECTRUM. Which one would you choose? Have you ever installed the CLI in other machine, that not OneClick? In the chapter "move CLI to a non-OneClick machine" of the CLI guide says: Install the processd service: Solaris/Linux: a)Create a /etc/init.d startup script to start processd. The script should run $SPECROOT/lib/SDPM/processd.pl start. b)Create a link from /etc/init.d/processd to /etc/rc2.d/S99processd. The processd already is installed and working in the SPECTRUM, have I to modify it? Or does it refers to an action in the local server?.
