Are you referring to GLOBAL COLLECTION CPU THRESHOLD EXCEEDED Alarms. You can
reduce these Alarms by increasing the "gc_perf_cpu_threshold" setting in the
$SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc. Try it. I believe setting is for all GC.

how can I increase the timeout for a global collction, I get often the alarm,
that a global collection takes longer then 5000msec. Is this a global value for
all collections, or can I specify it for different collections?
