Hi list Our Spectrum Report Manager(version 9.1) event table(event.MYD) is about 10Gb in size. When we run " Top-N Devices and Models with the Most Events: Group " or "Top-N Most Common Events: Group ", it is taking very long time(20 -30 mins) to finish. MySql appears to be flooding the disk IO when running reports. Although there is plenty of RAM available, MySql doesn't seem to take advantage of RAM.
Did some researches, found that, for data blocks, MySQL uses no special cache. Instead it relies on the native operating system file system cache. Anyone has similar experience with large event table? any tips to optimize the IO performance? cheers MD --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected]
