I don¹t know offhand how to write a policy search that looks for devices in
a collection. However, I want to make sure you get the following syntax to
enable a watch by policy, since it¹s wrong in the documentation and took me
about six months to get from support. In your policy-settings.xml file, put
the following:

    <policy-settings name="Enable Watch">
        <modify-spectrowatch id="0xffff0015" status="ACTIVE" />
    </policy-settings>

The documentation does not mention the modify-spectrowatch tag anywhere,
which is why it took so long to find. Also note that, when looking at
watches for a given model, there are two columns with IDs - ³Attribute ID²
and ³Descriptor ID². The one you want is the ³Attribute ID² (in this case
0xffff0015).

Finally, don¹t forget to set a default policy that sets the watch to
³INACTIVE², unless you want users to be able to enable this watch on devices
not in your collection.

HTH,
Jim
