I assumed the polling interval would be how often it checks for a change
in the ifInErrors value. So, in my scenario I want spectrum to check the
attribute value every 60 seconds. My threshold is >=2, and reset of < 1.
How do I tell the watch to only send me an error message if the threshold
is in violation 2 out of the last 5 polling cycles, not just if the
attribute increases twice since the polling process started. This is
important because I want the error to clear if the last 5 polling cycles
do not change at all (i.e. the circuti is clean for 5 minutes).

Gary,

The watch is evaluated by poll so therefore the time is the polling
interval..
