I have managed to find how to change the font (a couple of hours of trial-and-error).
The culprit is SpecRRD.pm (located in the "ActivePerl Folder\lib" or "ActivePerl Folder\site\lib") I have added the following line in the block of arguments passed to rrdtools: push (@GARGS, "--font=DEFAULT:0:c://windows//fonts//Verdana.ttf"); You can change the font as you wish, the only restriction so far: it is working only for fonts whose name is one word. Rrd docs suggest when using a font name with white spaces, to enclose it in double quotes ... it didn't work for me because my Perl knowledge is a bit above zero but experts are welcome to provide the correct syntax :) Regards, ============================================ Eugen NAIMAN IT Officer ICT Infrastructure Department Health and Human Services 5/99 Bathurst Street, Hobart, 7000 (: (03) 6233 8565 Ê: (03) 6233 6297 [email protected] ============================================ -----Original Message----- From: Roman Hochuli [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 1 March 2011 12:57 AM To: Naiman, Eugen Cc: spectrum Subject: Re: [spectrum] SRG - how to change font size/type in graphs? Hello Eugen > Does anyone know how to change the default font for the graphs? As far as I remember SRG uses a customized and _very_ old version of rrdtool. And with those versions you would have to add those fonts at compiletime. So unfortunately I guess there is not much help here... :-( -- Best regards, Roman Hochuli Operations Manager nexellent ag Saegereistrasse 29 CH-8152 Glattbrugg Phone: +41 44 562 30 40 Fax: +41 44 562 30 41 URL: www.nexellent.ch X-NCC-RegID: ch.nexellent Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality. -- Jules de Gaultier CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE AND DISCLAIMER The information in this transmission may be confidential and/or protected by legal professional privilege, and is intended only for the person or persons to whom it is addressed.
