I'n my case I do not treat Spectrum itself as ONE single service. From my perspective, Spectrum is a service delivery platform, from which we deliver many services. Easy example: "Pinging a device" is a service, which demand a "Ping" -service CI in CMDB. The order process relate's the "Ping" service with a device and by reading that config from CMDB, Spectrum can verify it's servicedelivery configuration.
Do you have a example on Spectrum/CMDB integration in terms of services? /Roberth -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: david klein [mailto:[email protected]] Skickat: den 3 mars 2011 14:40 Till: Edberg, Roberth Ämne: Re: [spectrum] Spectrum, CMDB & the ITIL order/change process Spectrum should be a CI if it is essential to service quality (which I presume it is in most shops), and so it should be in the CMDB, and changes to it should consult the CMDB.
