I've never added anything in that area of the console, but I have done 
something similar using a right-click menu.  Our users can right-click on a 
device and chose an option that sends them to our configuration manager.  This 
uses the web API of our CM and Spectrum imbeds the IP in the link.  This was 
all covered in the v9.2 "Spectrum_OneClick_Customization_User_ENU.pdf"  There 
are instructions for modifying the Information View in that document as well.
