Two weeks ago we had a case with CA' support which the asked me that
send they the health inform. They recommended me install a Distributed
SpectroServer to reduce the work of SpectroServer. This is our
environment:

SpectroServer: A Sun Server with Solaris10; 72Gb HDD, 16 cores and 8Gb Ram.
OneClick1 A Sun Server with Solaris10; 150 Gb HDD, 16 cores and 6Gb Ram
OneClick2 A Sun Server with Solaris10; 150 Gb HDD, 16 cores and 6Gb Ram

We have at least 250.000 models, most of them switches or routers with
ports, applications, and traps management to Spectrum. The CPU on the
three Servers always run below of 10%, and no problems of memory. But,
the health inform and CA says that our machine is overload; Really, CA
say that the number of max. Models supported depends a lot of things,
but our SpectroServer is 100%. I read somewhere that “One workstation
managing fewer than 1000 devices/average 24 ports on each device”.

There is something that I don’t understand, if the SS is overload, why
it not uses the hardware resources free? What good have a very
powerful server if only a 10% will be use?

Regards!!
