Hi all,

I am trying to find out how long it takes to failover Spectrum on Solaris and
if there are any techniques people have tried to speed it up.

At the moment (9.1 h03) it takes about 30mins for OneClick to fail over if the
primary is completely dead. It is much quicker if the machine is actually
running and only the SpectroSERVER is down. I believe this will have something
to do with OneClick retries and TCP timeouts.
Apparently there is a fix in H10, we would like to know how much this speeds up
the process. We won't really consider the pain of the upgrade if the
improvement is only going to reduce the time out to 20mins.

Does anyone know what this failover time is in 9.2 or 9.1 h10?
Has any managed this issued by looking at the OS TCP timeout parameters to get
around this issue?

Thanks,
Tyson
