I finally have a working example that I would like to share with the group that I created and tested. It takes you step by step to create an Event Correlation that has two hosts sending the same trap to Spectrum and what you get is 1 alarm. CA support is trying to get their tech writers to possibly rework it or use it for customers that have the same need. I cannot attach it to this list its too big and it got rejected so I will send it to those that would like it and if I get too many requests maybe someone can put it up where we can pull it down.
Thanks, From: Tadysak, Dan E Sent: Wednesday, November 16, 2011 8:53 AM To: spectrum Subject: [spectrum] Spectrum 9.2 Condition Correlation Editor I have gone thru the Condition Correlation guide and I am still very confused on how to do something I think should be very simple so I need help or more examples. I have 2 servers that will send the same trap. However, I want only one alarm. The reason is that it is a fault tolerant EMC system and if either server is down I need to make sure I still get the alarm but I don't want two of them. I have been trying to figure out how to use the CCE but the docs don't have a good example. Anyone have any examples they can share or offer any suggestions?
